The current Osage County District 2 Commissioner, Steve Talburt, will begin his second term in January 2024.
He has been married to Christina Talburt for 18 years, and they have four children and eight grandchildren. Steve has worked for Osage County for over 20 years and has earned a reputation for his honesty, integrity, and transparency.
Before taking office in 2021, he served as the Captain of Investigations at the Osage County Sheriff’s Office. Additionally, he is a Pastor at the church founded by his father in 1983.
Talburt is committed to strong conservative values and emphasizes open communication with citizens to promote progress in the county. His notable achievements include road reconstruction, infrastructure maintenance initiatives, and rapid emergency response.
